چکیده
This study aimed to examine the energy and exergy indices of rosemary drying process in a hybrid-solar dryer (HSD) effects air-drying parameters on these thermodynamic indices. Drying experiments were carried out at four levels air temperature (40, 50, 60, 70 ?C) three velocity (1, 1.5, 2 m/s). Energy calculated by application first second laws thermodynamics. Based principal laws, efficiency, losses, exergetic improvement potential rate, evaluated. The results showed that utilization ratio (EUR) ranged from 0.246 0.502, (EU) 0.017 0.060 (kJ/s). Exergy loss efficiency varied 0.009 0.028 (kJ/s) 35.08% 78.5%, respectively, increased with velocity. It was found rate affected because overall heat transfer coefficient different under conditions. By comparison, increasing velocity, increased. Because most is used evaporate moisture, this behavior may be explained improved utilization. chamber sustainability index 0.0129 0.0293. provides insights into optimization operations operational solar hybrid dryers reduce losses consumption.

Cancer cells display enhanced growth rates and a resistance to apoptosis. The ability of cancer cells to evade homeostasis and proliferate uncontrollably while avoiding programmed cell death/apoptosis is acquired through mutations to key signaling molecules, which regulate pathways involved in cell proliferation and survival. Compounds of plant origin, including food components, have attracted ...

Antioxidant and antimicrobial activity of extracts obtained from rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) and vine (Vitis vinifera) leaves
The antioxidant properties and antimicrobial activity of rosemary extracts were compared to those of vine leaf extracts. The phenolics were quantified by HPLC. Rosemary extracts were stronger in reducing power than vine leaf extracts but possessed weaker superoxide anion radical (O2 ) scavenging capability. The antimicrobial activity was confirmed by the broth microdilution test using minimal i...

The use of plants is as old as the mankind. Natural products are cheap and claimed to be safe. They are also suitable raw material for production of new synthetic agents. Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis Linn.) is a common household plant grown in many parts of the world. It is used for flavouring food, a beverage drink, as well as in cosmetics; in folk.medicine it is used as an antispasmodic i...
